Cleveland, OH—March 16, 2016 – Environmental Well Being of Aging (EWBoA) was created by founder and executive director, Laura Mineff, to help support the goals of aging in the places we live by making the necessary changes to enhance our comfort and add value to our living and work environments.

“As our population ages, we’ve witnessed this attitude of “pushing our elderly out on an iceberg” to live out their “golden” years,” said Mineff. “I believe we need to be passionate in embracing the well being of aging to encourage the happiest outcomes filled with love and joy.”

Mineff has created the EWBoA coalition, which is a resource of services and providers tailored to meet individual needs with the goals of having independence and happiness into the later journey of life and to remain in one’s home.

Mineff, whose background includes an extensive career in geriatric nursing, is a renowned designer and contractor. For the past 15 years, Mineff has been building and designing concepts for individuals and commercial projects throughout the United States.

“For over the last five years, I have been dealing with more and more projects where the home owner is redefining their living environments for additional comfort and to address life’s challenges which come as we age,” said Mineff. “The beauty of the redesign is that the owner can remain in their homes, enjoy their living style and add value for resale.”

Environmental Well Being of Aging is expanding the options for owners wishing to stay in their homes and help redefine the mindset with a new approach to aging. The goal is to develop a coalition of like-minded organizations and services to form a community of resources to help individuals create a new life path surrounded by a team of experts to enhance in life’s adventure.

Environmental Well Being of Aging aims to:

  • Enhance life’s stages through adjustments in the environment to inspire a happy, healthy way of living.
  • Encourage interaction with peers, families and youth to share in life’s journey.
  • Expose new and changing opportunities for involvement and growth within communities.
  • Discover solutions to modify environments that will assist in addressing life’s challenges while increasing the market value of the home and business.
  • Create community resource “pods” to teach and share this healthy and happy approach to living as the coalition expands into new regions.

The vision for the Environmental Well Being of Aging is to create a universal and powerful change in the approach to aging, and become a voice for exposing new ideas and changing resources for living in an environment of well being as we age. Ultimately, the vision is to expand the coalition nationally and internationally, becoming the expert source for aging in place through well being.
