Helping to change the face of dementia care for healthcare organizations and families
Jennifer A. Brush, M.A., CCC/SLP has been working for 25 years to change the face of dementia care in hospitals, assisted living communities, nursing homes and home care. Prior to establishing her own practice with Brush Development, Jennifer served as the executive director of IDEAS Institute, a nonprofit organization that improves the lives of older adults through the conduct of applied research. She is an international speaker, renowned author and recognized speech-language pathologist known for her work in the areas of memory, swallowing, and environmental interventions for people with dementia. She has served as the principal investigator on applied research grants that have examined issues pertaining to dementia, hearing impairment, dining, dysphagia, and the long-term care environment. Jennifer offers interactive and educational presentations and coaching that help clients bridge the gap between current research findings and the care needs of people with dementia.

Lynne Giacobbe has worked in the non-profit field for over 30 years and currently serves as the executive director of Ohio’s first continuing care at home program. She attended Kent State University where she obtained her degree in both Psychology and Integrative Change. She also received an administrative certificate in nonprofit program development from Binghamton University. Lynne is an alumnus of the LeadingAge Leadership Program and the inaugural LeadingAge Leadership Educator Program. She currently serves as the lead facilitator of the LeadingAge Ohio Leadership Program. Lynne is also a member of the LeadingAge Leadership alumni board. Lynne and her team received the Award of Excellence from LeadingAge Ohio in 2014 for their work in the field of aging services. Through the development of Kendal at Home, Lynne has helped to bring the concept of continuing care to older adults who prefer to spend their retirement years in their own home.

Brad Mitchell is the owner, founder and president of Mitchell Media headquartered in Hudson, Ohio. He has 28 years in the publishing business and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. Mitchell launched Northeast Ohio Parent in March 2014, which grew out of a vision to produce a high-quality monthly magazine for parents in the greater Cleveland/Akron area. Reaching over 125,000 parents every month through the magazine and digital offerings, Northeast Ohio Parent with its supplement Aging Answers aims to educate, inspire and encourage parents to embrace everything the region has to offer for an enriching family life. Angela Monateri is a certified financial planner with Ameriprise Financial for the past 14 years. She graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio with a major in psychology, minor in sociology with a concentration in business. She earned an executive certificate in Financial Planning from John Carroll University in 2006. Angela develops strategies to make sure that individual’s money is working hard for them. She advises her clients on the issues that matter most to them: a comfortable retirement, a good education for their children and protection for their families. She works one-to-one with clients to identify short and long term goals, then supplies the knowledge and advice they need to feel confident that they are making informed financial decisions for their family’s future. She provides sound financial advice to help her clients achieve financial independence and the ability to fund new design projects to have well-being independence in their homes.
Stephanie Manning , Development Coordinator, Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA)
Stephanie Manning is the Development Coordinator at the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA).
At WRAAA, she is responsible for the marketing and branding of the organization, fund development, community outreach events, internal and external communications and social media. Stephanie has over 10 years of experience in the marketing, event planning, and communications arena.
Stephanie received her Bachelors in Communication and Information Studies from Kent State University, with a focus on public and organizational communication. She is a trained Lay Leader in Matter of Balance, Chronic Disease Self-Management, and Diabetes Self-Management programs, as well as a certified vision screener through the Ohio Affiliate Prevent Blindness program. Stephanie resides in Medina, Ohio with her husband and children.

Rosemarie Ascherl brings 20+ years of business-to-business communications/PR agency background with extensive experience in strategic planning, writing, media relations, event planning, project management and social media.
With focused experience in social media and strategic development through LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, her social media expertise builds content and image for both individual and corporate positioning. She has developed content for blog posts and website copy to provide cohesive communications with brand building awareness.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in PR from the University of Dayton. Rosemarie keeps abreast of industry trends by regularly attending industry webinars, seminars and events, and is a member of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Rosemarie is passionate about embracing the well being of aging due to her personal family experience with dementia.
